If you are diagnosed this year with cervical cancer, how far ago was the person contaminated? 2 years ago? 15 years ago?

It usually takes several years for abnormal cells to turn to cervical cancer. It could take up to 10+ Years. A person can carry the HPV virus and have no symptoms for several years before it becomes active and starts causing the abnormal cell changes in the cervix.
