Hey guys

Ive been reading alot of these types of forums but recently joined this one. My concern involves my chest area so naturally i had assumed it was my heart. Ive felt pain in my chest area, mainly on my left hand side and towards the middle for a while now. This pain only lasts momentarilly. Ive also been experiencing pain in my muscles such as my back (shoulder blade), arms and neck. This also prompted me to visit this forum as they are 'symptoms' of heart trouble. Anyways ive been to the doctors twice, both said it wasnt heart related. Ive had an EKG (or is it ecg??) and it came back fine and my blood pressure is 120/70. Recently ive also been having pains in my armpit (gland related??) and pains in my diaphram area, and when i press on them it is really sore. Ive began to wonder if this is infact related to the trouble ive been having. I am a 20 year old male who lives a healthy lifestyle, but just for his own piece of mind, would like the opinion of others to help me sleep easier at night. Help is greatly appreciated.

Hello, i just thought i might help by tellin u that your bodys cleansing system is located up above your heart on your left side and usually, when u have problems with that the pain can go into your chest....would wonder if u have suffered any kind of shock recentli??...or is the area under your left armpit swollen compared to your right one?..i no, because i have suffered with this problem.Just thought that might make u feel a little better.

Hey thanks for your reply. I havent had any real shock of late. Nothing i would consider major enough to be shocking or anxious. But yes, my left arm pit does feel slightly more swallen than my right side and it hurts when you press on it. At first i thought i had bruised my rib at basketball but this has stuck around for a few months now.

Anything make pain worse? Does breathing in make it worse?

It varies. Most of the time the pain occurs when im at rest just sitting around, but occasionally when i bend (as if im reaching my left arm towards my knee) my left side hurts and when i breathe in, at the peak of inahling i sometimes hurt, leading to me thinking its musclular but yer. When im sitting around not moving and i get a shooting pain is what causes confusion for me

It could very well be musculoskeletal (in which case, it would hopefully repair/recover soon) especially if pain is worse on moving the area. If the area is inflamed and healing, some of the chemicals involved in healing/inflammation can sometimes cause muscles to go into spasm even when people sit around resting.
Does this help?
Best wishes.

It defintly helps, thanks mate. Both times i have been to the doc they have said thats its muscular issue rather than a vital organ type one. But when ever i feel the pain in a chest region, my first thought goes directly to the heart. I apprceciate all posts back
