You didn't say in your post how high your blood pressure runs, and if your doctor has put you on any medication.

It is sometimes possible to control hypertension with diet and exercise, but not always. Also, with hypertension, it's a good idea to get it controlled as soon as possible, because it can do all sorts of damage to your body...to all of the organs, as well as to the arteries themselves. Sometimes the best thing to do is to get it regulated with medication, get on an appropriate diet/exercise program, and then (with your doctor's help), try to slowly cut back on the medication to see if the diet/exercise is actually working.

It's also dangerous to do certain kinds of exercise while your blood pressure is already high.

If you can give me some more information, perhaps I or someone else can give you some more guidance on this.

Take a close look at your salt intake. I know it hard when you're 15 and at the mercy of so one elses cooking. If it comes in a box, a package or a can it's loaded with salt. Only fresh veggies and fruit and fresh meat are free of it. Read labels and understand them-I looked at a box of prepared rice the other day and it had 700mg per serving (pretty high) but it said a serving was 3 tbls spoons! Who eats 3 tablespoons of rice! My serving would of had probably 3000 mg of salt, my self imposed limit is 1500 mg.
Stay away from gimick diets, eat less and eat good, fresh food (less fat and more green veg).NO FAST FOOD unless you can stick to the healthy stuff and that's hard to find.
