I began the 3 shot Gardasil series after my 2nd child was born in August... I noticed a small wart on my hand a couple months ago, and treated it with the acid at home. Immediately after that wart was treated, another wart appeared on the same finger. Now, after recieving the 2nd shot in the gardasil series, I have about 25 tiny warts on my hands! Eek! Is it possible that my body is reacting to the small amount of HPV in the vaccine? Is that why I suddenly have all these warts? Anybody else had this problem???

Akk! Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to start my Gardasil (once I save up the money... it's expensive!) soon. My boyfriend has HPV and I want to be safe. If I have any of the same problems I'll let you know.

It almost certainly sounds like a reaction to the Gardasil. Have you asked your doctor about it yet?

I'd be really surprised if there were any connection. Of the 4 strains in the Gardasil vaccine, none of them are against the strain that shows up as warts on your hands - it's against 2 genital warts, and 2 non-wart strains that cause cervical cancer. Also, the vaccine doesn't contain anything live.

And Flourish, if your bf already has hpv, unless he has never touched you it is unlikely you don't already have it from him. Again, there are many strains and the shot only protects against 4. What kind does your bf have?
