Hi,

Has anyone heard of lowering your blood pressure by removing the mercury fillings in your teeth?

Have not heard of it, but would be wonderful if true! perhaps it could explain where essestial HBP comes from! I have tried everything to lower mine, but it remains high after 15 years. OY!

Here is a article I read concerning HBP and Amalgam fillings:
As far as toxicity is concerned, there are 2 items furnished by dentistry that have been observed to be associated with high blood pressure. Mercury from amalgam fillings can elevate blood pressure, but medications can reduce this type of elevation.
Using two chemicals simultaneously (mercury and the drug) may drop the pressure, but there is a price to pay. Both the mercury and the drugs have side effects that reduce the efficiency of the body (especially the kidney), but elevated blood pressure is not safe either. This is one of life’s trade-off’s that we must resort to on occasion. Removal of amalgam as part of the dental revision procedure can reduce the blood pressure and reduce or eliminate the need for drugs.
Then there is the blood pressure that does not respond well to drugs. That occurs as the result of leakage of toxins from root canal teeth. High blood pressure as a result of root canals occurs in a very high percentage of the patients we have seen. High doses and multiple drug attempts have usually been tried with only moderate success. Is this you?
We have noticed that hardening of the arteries responds well over a period of 3 to 4 months following dental revision if one utilizes TransMix and Magnesium in the proper forms and proper dosages based on blood chemistries and lifestyle evaluation. High blood
pressure resulting from dental toxicity (specifically root canal toxins) and endocrine disturbances can respond favorably within a few days after dental revision procedures are completed.

It is very interesting. Im going to the dentist next month to have all of my mercury filling taken out and replaced. I also have HBP with no help from medicine or herbs. I hope this helps me. I will keep you posted.

Just a warning before you go to the expense of having all your fillings replaced:

In the past several years, I have heard of several things being blamed on mercury fillings. The one I'm most familiar with is fibromyalgia. And, supposedly, the removal of the fillings and replacement with the new plastic type of fillings was supposed to cure FM. Well, I know of at least 18 people who went to tremendous expense to do just that; they all still have FM, but they sure don't have any money left!

Just a cautionary note. I would do a whole lot more research before going to that expense.
