I am a 41 year old male. Just looking for feedback from anyone who may have similar symtoms or goenthrough what I am. I have seen my family doctor and ENT and tehy feel I may have an Acoustic Nuroma.I have had a CT scan that showed good but they say this is not the best test, I need an MRI which is scheduled for Jan 26. My symtoms are..........
1.reduced hearing in my left ear, this has been for several years now.
2.Bad migrains on left side of head again for seceral years much worse lately.
3.Tinitis started 9-10 months ago and has got pretty bad, this triggered my visit to doctor.
4. Left cheek going slightly numb last month or so, not bad but noticible.
5. Light headed and difficulty concentrating at times wierd feeling, last year or so.

Can anyone help with some insight? Reading on Acoustic Nuroma sounds like it might be.

Help..

i don't know much about acoustic nuroma but i do know that even if it ends up being that, they have good doctors that can help fix it.

Yes from what I've read it does sound like it could be acoustic neuroma. I understand that it can be treated with 'gamma knife' surgery, which is non-invasive. I'm sure that your doctor will offer that as an option, and hopefully it is covered by Health Canada. Take care and good luck.

hi , sorry you are worried about this but i just wanted you to know that i have all the same symptoms as you , except my hearing is ok, but my balance is getting very bad and we are concidering me using a walking cane for me to cope.

My audiologist told me that he doesnt thing my symptoms are serious but we need to keep an eye on it.
I really hope you get some answers soon cos the not knowing is the worst.

take care and let us know how you get on.
