hi, just cerious what is a healthy range blood preasure... i am 5'7 overweight and suffer with anxety i am going to docsotrs tommorrow for a blood preasure check so just to stop me panicking when he tells me what it is can someone tell me here what is the blood preasure meant to be? whats is the dangerous blood preasure? thankyou

Most heart and lung associations consider b/p 120/70 the norm but bp fluctuates constantly and some people have what they call white coat bp meaning it is higher at the dr office than anywhere else. I have hypo bp and seldom ever gets over 90/70 but can and does fall below that at times. Just because it may be a bit high when you go doesn't necessarily mean you need to go on bp medicene. They may have you get it checked at the pharmacy everyday for a week to see what if any fluctuations are happening and then decide if you need to be on medication.

Usually anything between 110-120 on the systolic and 70-80 on the diastolic is consdidered in the prime normal range.
