I am in desperate need of weight loss. I put on almost 30 lbs last year, lost 10 over the summer, and am back where I started. I hate my body, but can't stop eating and NEVER work out.

About a month ago I was diagnosed with bursitis in my hips. That's on top of the bursitis in both my shoulders and my exercise induced asthma.
In short, I never want to work out because it's just plain awful. I hate it!

Any thoughts on how to get myself past these limitations?

Any thoughts on how to exercise with my hips like this? It's the most painful thing and it flares up every 2 weeks or so. I can't sleep well, today it hurt to walk, sit, stand....everything!

And they tell me to rest my joints when it flares up.....but I'll never be able to stick to a routine if i keep having to stop.

HELP!!!

I know, when your hips hurt, it's tough to move at all. Still, your joints might feel better after you lose weight. There's a motivation of a sort.

Ever tried water exercise? The arthritis foundation has these classes.

Also, find a partner. My friend has a herniated disk in her back, and I have a bone problem in my foot, so neither of us can do most of the things we want to. We go swimming together a couple times a week, and basically keep each other from making excuses not to go. (We are 32 and 27, by the way!)
