I have 2 questions. The first-is BV something that is detected through a routine pap smear without me mentioning symptoms to the Dr?
Also, is it possible for my bf to have a genital bacterial infection and pass it along to me causing BV?

No, not usually. You should ask your doctor to check you for BV. I have heard that BV can be passed from the male to the female...From bacteria in the penis head.BUT~I also know BV is a PH imbalance in your vagina. Ive had for over 2 years...It sucks.
