hi, I am having real problems with CIGNA. All my bills have been returned on one or other pretext even though I may 700+ per month for my family (3). can you pl give me an approach to deal with them. Thanks in advance.

I would depend upon your policy and how claims are paid and the denial reasons they gave on your explanation of benefits they should have sent you. Also you would need to check the dx codes used with the procedure codes used to make sure they were appropriate for what was done. Is it an HMO or PPO? Is the doctor or facility participating in your plan?

If you pay the premiums, they should cover you. Get a hold of them and find out what's wrong. On what you are making, I doubt you own any property or have a large bank account from which a collector/doctor/hospital could take, so they could sue but they'll get nothing....so my advice is don't pay the bills....but if Cigna covers it and owes it, they should pay! You paid the premiums, they need to cover what they should.
