Hi,

I am feeling Neuroma in my foot, 3 months ago i got it before for different toes, doctor treated it through injection and advised to wear tennis shoes, i wore them for like 2 months and the problem has gone.

I am a little lazy to see any doctor, what my question is, If I wear those tennis shoes he advised me to wear, this rectifies the problem? If i dont go to doctor and take any alcholhol injection! Or this just worsens the problem?

Thanks very much for your help in advance.

Alcohol injectons can kill the neuroma. It doesn't work with everyone. Changing shoes will not cure it. Only successful alcohol injections or surgical removal will cure a neuroma.

thanx really verymuch for your reply and have been reading your replies to other posts.

at time only i let my doc know that i was having problem with my second foot too, he neglekted it by saying i was leaning on my second foot toomuch.

now as i mentioned in previous post as i got thie problem in different area, i keep wearing shoes 24/7.

now the problem is back with the second foot. he said walking causd me this problem. and this doc didnt advise me not to excercise actively, i mentioned him that i wlq a lot, at time only he said to continue walk. just a mile like that. so after that problem is gone two months back , again i started my excercise routine, so story turned out like this. i completely blame him on this. he shot me cortisone instead of alchohol, lol.

so, what i want to asq you or anyone now is, i pull weights with my legs, lack of excercise now i am feeling like so boring physically, so can i continue excercise? i give up walking, i decided to continue weight lifting with my arms, what about leg excercise!!!!! (through out to mu knowledge, walking, running, stair climbing worsens this problem, somewhere i read that pulling weights ok). but first i need confirmed news that its ok to do leg excercise through machinery, if not once again i go into deep trouble. appreciate any proper replies. appreciate your valuable outputs.

we read everywhere excercise excericse, but why dont they people do people let know if heavy excercise cause these kind of problems!. atleast some people her eread this and come to understanding about excercise what it does , not only plus but also minus.

It is true that the "good foot" can have problems when you are walking in a such a way as to keep the "bad" foot from hurting. They are made to evenly distribute your weight and not have all on one foot.

Also, neuromas are caused by two things - generally speaking: running and wearing high heels. If you don't want to have the neuroma removed, you could try pads/orthotics in your shoes. However, the only cures for them are removal or alcohol injections (which are not always successful).

You might try swimming as that will not hurt your feet.

good to see you online. may i know what your problem with your feet was!!!!

BTW your messajes are so helpfull in understanding this concept.

if this starts for anyone and its in initial staje, they healed it off with some steroid (i know steroid is not suitable for this), the doctor treated it that way to someone who dont know that fact.

so, now it healed off, again is there chance the problem can get bacq to the patient in future?

I had miy neuroma removed. Stump neuromas can occur at the end of the severed nerve after removal in rare cases. If the surgeon is good, it should not recur. Mine has not and that was over 6 years ago.
