Hi Board,

I'm in a posting mood today, as I rarely post too much on here these days although I lurk a lot!

Maybe this just applies to me because I have been dealing with head symptoms for so long, however it was suggested by one of the neuro's that I recently saw to NOT do exercises for my head symptoms because MAV is better treated with meds than with exercises.

Your thoughts?

Hope all is well. xo

Wow,

VRT does very little for people with persistent vestibular migraine and, if anything, usually makes them feel much worse (Dr Rauch will vouch for this). The deal is to treat the migraine first (meds) and then clean up any residual mess with VRT if necessary. As long as your migraine runs the show and is left unchecked, very little will ever change - you will simply cycle up and down through symptoms feeling lousy one minute and OK the next. Given your symptoms completely vanished while on amitriptyline before suggests that VRT is not what you need. You need to find another migraine med.

Best ... Scott

THat is just like me Scott.

Did loads of vrts...made me really off at first..but over 16 months I did feel better which made me feel like I had vn (my first diagnosis). I could never shake the nausea, and eye crap (jumping, flickering, vibrating) or head pressure/fog. Then took 1 week off from all vrts for the holiday. Felt so much better...then on the 21st went into Boston and got diagnosed with MAV. He said to take it easy, rest...and I have felt even better.

My main issue now still my eyes.
