Both types of caregivers have to practice under the supervision of a physician, but a physician can have only 2 PAs, but the number of NPs one doctor can supervise is not limited. NPs also get more respect here. In some states, NPs do not need to be supervised at all. You may wish to contact professional organizations such as AANP or AAPA for more information about your state. |
