Your nasal passages may be inflamed and swollen. :(

I had a neti pot and when my sinuses were inflamed it felt like I was shooting gravel and water up my nose. It hurt and I would end up stuffed up and miserable later. Some people swear by them but they're not for me. I just use regular saline nasal spray now.
