Hi Hawaii98,

Many here including my self have at one time in point have tried Panethine. It is an urban legend and must be put to rest. The stuff does not work. To help your triglycerides most importantly you will need to talk to your Doctor and hopefully they can get you on a good plan action to help reduce them. To my understanding and from personal experience supplementing with Omega 3 fish oil will help lower your triglycerides. Also Niacin works very well. All the best and hope that everything works out for you.

Hi Hawaii98,

It would be best to talk to your Doctor or a Cardiologist about this. There is something else going on that has caused such an increase. It would be best to seek medical attention and see a Doctor. All the best and hope that everything works out for you.

Is it 2 grams of fish oil, or 2 grams of Omega 3? There is a huge difference there. 2 grams of most fish oils = 2 capsules, resulting in about 600mg of Omega 3. That is too low a level to have much of an effect on triglycerides. Even if 2 grams of Omega 3, it may be too low.

500 mg of vitamin C might help one's general health a little bit, but it won't stop heart disease.

And Centrum isn't going to help a person's heart, nor stop heart disease either. Even for general health, it isn't the best multivitamin... most of the inexpensive, well known brands of multivitamins aren't formulated very well, nor use the best forms of vitamins/minerals in their pills.
