I've had difficulty with compulsive looking for several years now. It caused me to abandon my university education. How has compulsive looking affected your life and how have you found relief?

Do you mean "compulsive looking" like in the mirror? If so, yes I do this..
Any mirror or reflective glass in my home or out I have to look at my reflection..I don't know why..Just one of those things...NOT like Im a "diva, or think Im so pretty I have to look" type deal..If I pass a mirror or glass I have to turn my head just for that split second while Im walking by and look..I think it's a strange thing to do, but I just have to do it...

Yes, the irresistable urge to look at reflective surfaces is a manifestation of compulsive looking.

Compulsive looking, in my experience, is an irresistable urge to look where consciously you do not intend to.

You didn't go into detail on your compulsive looking..
It doesn't really have much effect on my life..Just something I have to do..When I walk by my reflection and look, I don't have any thoughts about it..I also don't try to avoid reflective objects because one just can't.
I must have done this my whole life because I remember my mother telling me that I am "in love with myself", which is not the case at all..But like I said, it doesn't cause alot of anxiety, just one of the OCD things I do..
How has this affected your life?

At this point I don't want to influence readers' perceptions of compulsive looking. If I describe my issue, it may deter others from thinking theirs is valid. Since this subject hasn't been brought in the past, I suspect my description may overshadow their own.
