I was wondering if anyone could tell me if high blood pressure can cause chronic night time headaches? My husband gets terrible headaches as soon as he lies down to relax and watch tv, every night. This is when his blood pressure is at his highest. They are very painful and it takes a combination of advil and tylenol to take them away. It't way too many pills. He has been to an ENT, Nothing wrong there. also had a MRI. Nothing wrong there. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

What is his BP at this time of night?
Is it being controlled properly? Hypertension doesn't usually cause headache unless extremely elevated.
You said "when he lies down" to watch TV. That could be a tip- off right there....If his NECK and shoulders are in an awkward position, that alone would be enough to create headache! Poor posture watching TV is one of the biggest "hidden" causes of headache.

actually.. if you suffer from frequent morning-day headaches (not sinus related).. this "could" be a clear sign that you have HBP.
