Niacin results so far:
I had an earlier test at TC = 273 and HDL = 34 on 2/27. They said to go see doctor:
3/14 TC=262 HDL=47 LDL=185 VLDL=30
Read Dr. Parson's Book on Niacin
6/03 TC=238 HDL=40 LDL=154 VLDL=43
This is on 2 * 500 mg SLO-Niacin and Cordyceps
I am increasing Niacin to 3 * 500 and staying same on Cordyceps (1 * 615 mg capsule).
150 LDL was the old standard, so if I get there I am happy. No family history.

Jay,
What I am worried about in your results is that the HDL is decreasing while the triglycerides are increasing. True, you are decreasing your LDL, but it appears that the more current research is showing a stronger link of heart disease to HDL and triglycerides than to LDL, or even the LDL/HDL ratio.
Any concerns on your VLDL increase, or reasons that you can think of for it increasing?
