my mri results say

IMPRESSION: very minimal increased signal on T2 flair images, left occipital white matter, with mild changes of multiple sclerosis not excluded. No other T2 flair abnormalities are demonstrated. Further clinical correlation recommended.

I can not understand them and would like to know what it means...
can you help?

Wish I could help and provide some answers ... I write because I'm scheduled for a brain MRI next week ... can you let me know what it entails -- how long, how confining etc.? Any insights would be appreciated.

Sorry, I can't answer what your MRI question.

You asked what a brain MRI entails. Personally, I think it is quite easy. I have had four this past year. The MRI is painless but noisy. You lay on your back, with your head held in place but not tight, and then you slide into a tube and just lay there. They also give you a buzzer to hold on to incase you want out. (I never did) The first part takes about 20 minutes and the second part, with the contrast drug, about 15 minutes. If you have the drug, they slide you out, inject the drug and slide you back in. That is the part that worried me the most because I have reacted to drugs before but no reaction to this one, so all has been ok. They want you to keep your head very still when you are pulled out for the drug because the MRI "photos" are lined up on a grid and if you move the next batch won't line up. At least that is what I was told. I have heard of people feeling claustrophobic in the tube and I solved that by closing my eyes before I went in and never opening them until I was out. I couldn't tell you what it looks like in the tube or how close it was to my face. I get quite nervous before medical procedures and I have found this to be easy, which is a good thing because I have to have brain MRI's the rest of my life. Good luck!
