I am scheduled for a cardiac ablation on the 30th for SVT. I had it rarely for years, then more frequently this fall (leading to lots of tests). I also have PVCs. I am on metoprolol Cr 25mg/day and it has been great for the SVT. But I hate meds.

I have twins under 2 and am very concerned about the recovery week and not being able to lift/hold them (they are very needy). I dont want to risk complications. What are your opinions???

Why would u wanna do the ablation now?
You are only on metoprolol 25mg. that is a baby dose. Same with me. Been a year for me. I accept taking meds everyday.
Use Ablation as a last resort. I wouldn't do it if I were you.
