I am a college student and during the school year I always start my sleep cycle well. I get into the routine of going to bed around 10:30 and waking up at 6:30, which seems to be the right amount of sleep for myself. However, after a couple weeks I'm never able to keep that habit and continuously go to bed a little later each night.
I'm on break right now and my sleep pattern is so goofed up right now. I went to bed at 5 am and woke up at 1.
Can anyone offer suggestions for 1) getting back to sleeping at 10-11 (i can't seem to do it) and 2) keeping that habit, rather than falling asleep a little later each night?
thanks!

There are two ways that seem to work for me and my husband. They are personal opinions not MD advice.. with that said. My husband does the gradual stay up a bit longer and push his sleep cycle back into position normally in one-two hour shifts. I just ride it.. if I have fallen a sleep by 5am.. I am up for the day and crash at 8 pm.. then push myself to 10-11 pm the next day.
To aid in going to sleep earlier look at the sleep hygiene post and make sure you have x'd the caffiene and exercise.. use melatonin if your MD says it is fine, if not go for chamomile tea. Good luck. It really stinks when your sleep cycle is mucked.

I use to have a similar problem. I tried prescription sleeping pills and ended up talking to a monkey on the end of my bed... But there is a all natural pill, my chiropractor got me started on them. They are called Formula 303. They worked miricles for me. Just take 2 then turn everything off and in about 15 min it will calm you to sleep. The best part you can take as many as 6 in one night, and they are fairly cheep. 7$ a bottle, not bad for a restful sleep huh?
