wow...i'm so sorry you are still dealing with this junk! i know what you mean about wondering if you'll be like this forever...i think that every day...and i'm only 26...bummer isn't it. hang in there though. from your most recent posts, it does sound like you are doing much better than when i remember first coming here in july. you should be proud of yourself for being strong-willed like the rest of us on here...even though i know most of the time for me, i don't feel that way. it seems as if we are warriors lol.;) anyway, i am right behind you...i will have my 7 month"anniversary" of this crap on friday....oh the joy. there truly needs to be more effort being done to help people struggling with these disorders. let's hope we're better way before that day comes :) you are doing your best...and that is what matters, even though our best seems to suck these days!

D&S...I understand. Keep going, and if you can....make sure you get a second opinion. All the best.

I agree with Charlotte, maybe you should get a second opinion. You never had any tests for your inner ear, so really you don't have a correct diagnosis. Think about seeing the doctor that Charlotte saw. Now that is worth spending your money on!!!! You never know!!!!! Are you feeling any better? Do you have any visual symptoms?

Hope you find relief soon.

i am certainly better than i was in the begining. before the PT began I was rarely dizzy anymore and occasional symptoms here and there. If i had the means i would get second opinions and get into a great therapy program but I dont. Every appt my husband loses money. we have only one car between us and between my daughters preschool and my pt appts he is only working 2 or 3 full days a week and he didnt barely make much before. we are on state health insurance which means good docs with specialties are 2 hours away and DONT take my insurance. So even if I got into an appt my husband loses almost whole day of work plus finding a sitter for 2 kids and we fall even further behind on our bills so currently even me going to this PT is all i am able to do right now and that is a stretch. this is the third PT I have tried and he seems to know a lil more than the last two but i am out of option insurance-wise and financially. So i know you all think i need a second opinion I cant afford to go get one nor a decent therapy session so I just have to HOPE that I have Labs and it will clear up in the next year or so cause since I have started this i have seen 3 ER doctors seen 2 primary care physicians (switched after 1st one had no ideas and didnt seem involved), and ENT and a nuerologist and on top of that I have seen 3 PT's.....

oh and a quick run down of what i feel these days
First Few Months
*Vomiting
*Dizzy 24/7
*Nausea
*Insomnia
*Anxiety
*Visuals

Before Therapy *like a month ago*
*Occasionally Dizzy
*Nystagmus first thing in the morning
*Occasional Headache
*Fatigue
*Still cant handle driving or stores
*Occasional Anxiety
*Occasional Bouncy Floor

After Therapy (Currently)
*Slightly more dizzy
*Electric charge in brain sometimes (almost like a seizure feeling) Starting to fade not as bad as the first time I had it
* Slight Anxiety
*Feels Like feet are going to give out time to time
*very occasional bouncy floor
*Morning nystagmus
*Occasional Fatigue
*Occasional Headache
*Still cant handle driving or stores (I can for limited time with Valium)

I have had quite a few 7's and one or two 8's here and there most of my days fall into 5's or 6's but still there are some higher numbers. in the begining they were all 2's or 3's so I guess I am improving but it is very slow going

Also I have had fluid in my ear this whole time. My first PCP noticed it tried steriods didnt help and she just never made a big deal. then i didnt see any dr's for a long time then went back recently to a new PCP and she saw fluid (wonder if it is original fluid) she put me on 30days of claritin. Not sure if it is gone or not need to call and make an appt, PT says it is still there (not sure how he knows) But I imagine if I have fluid in my ears how will the nerve ever heal if it is constantly drowned in fluid? I have had ALOT of colds since this thing started too.....

hey D & S

I wish there was something you could do from home to earn some money. I know that would be very diff with being dizzy and having the kids but it might give you a nest egg so to speak so that you could save up to at least get one more opinion. I know that the state ins sucks. Trust me I am right there with you on that. It just stinks because sometimes you do need to get several opinions with this crap to pinpoint what is really going on but I truly understand your financial aspect as well. Plus I don't live in Maine so I don't know what resources are there. I am by myself with the two kids and only working 20-25 hours a week and it is killing me so I do understand. I pray everynight that this horrible monster will go away and never come back. My kids are suffering and it's not fair. Hang in there. I just wish there was something to help you!
