I've been on Nexium, Prilosec, and now Aciphex. Been scoped and saw no problems. Dr, just gave me carafate for bad nights. I have always had very slow bowel movements, usually 2-4 days inbetween, sometimes go for 3 days of going all the time. I tried taking some fiber but the gas and bloating wasn't worth the benefit to me...
I just recently started a low carb diet, as I have read that hi amounts of carbs cause reflux. Not working yet, but its only been about 4-5 days, I'll keep all ya'll posted.
It seems like I will be ok for a few months then have break through symptoms for about a week then am fine for another few months. I just really want to (like all of us) figure out what I am doing wrong and what my body is telling me.
Anyone have some pointers or suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

That's what we are all here for. To help one another and I don't think we've come across the miracle cure yet. But we're sure working on it! I'm just opposite of you and have D all the time. You'd think I'd be skinny as a stick since it passes right thru. I'm on antibiotics for other problems (I believe caused by GERD) and they mess my stomach up. I have some good days (and must remind myself of that) but experience symptoms every, single day. Can just wake up feeling bad when going to bed feeling good. Don't have a clue as to what happened. I think my worst bad habit is eating too late and feel that makes a difference. Do it anyway!

That is very true! I was also diaged with (if forget what it was called) pockets that can hold things in the colon...Its been about 5 years since the diag, been feeling pretty good in that respect. I ate some penuts the other day, I'm paying for it big time! Just hope it passes soon.

Twig,
You mean you have divirticulitis? I hope the peanuts go through also. Get your system used to fiber very slowly. I made the mistake of doing it too fast with my diet and had diahrea for about a week or two. I hope you feel better soon.
