Hi everyone!

I had a resection due to Crohn's Disease 2 months ago. My entire ileum was removed as well a portion of the right side of my colon and my appendix. ALl of the diseased portions were removed therefore I should be Crohns-free for the time being. Within the last couple of days I've started to feel pain in my right side after eating. The pain is comparable to what I was feeling prior to having the surgery.

I know that recurrence is probable with Crohn's Disease and that the amount of time before it returns varies. However, I'm just curious about some of your personal stories. Is it possible for it to return after just 2 months?

Thanks a bunch!

Hello,

I too have crohns disease. I had surgery like yourself not too long ago. i had my large bowel, anus and rectum removed. A few months after surgery i also had crohns like pains in my abdomon, it turned out to be a fistula. Don't work yourself up thinking that it's come back. Just make sure you tell your doctor straight away. Also, have you ever tried Infliximab? I hope everything work outs.

Kindest regards, A. x x x

Thanks Adam. I'll keep a positive attitude. I've got to go to the doctor as the pain is still there but I feel like a nuisance complaining about things so frequently. I've been holding off making an appointment in hopes that I'm just being paranoid. Does anyone else ever fear that they are making up the pain in their heads? My doctor tells me not to feel bad about calling especially since there is clear cut proof that I've got Crohn's Disease yet I can't help feeling like a hypochondriac.

I've never tried Infliximab. I'm supposed to be starting Immuran though.
