Hello, I have a strange problem. I have had extreme gas pressure for about 3days now. I have been having regular bowel movements, but it can hurt to use the bathroom, like there is still something needing to come out but something is blocking it. It can also hurt to sit directly on my butt, like it is pushing on the "pressure". Also, when I am walking and step with my left foot it hurts. The pain is a pressure feeling, not like a direct source of pain if that makes sense. I am not having diarrea and I am not having stomach pain other than the pressure. For a few years now, I have had a problem with passing gas if I am not on the toilet. I will hold it until I use the bathroom. This has caused gas pressure before, but nothing like this. It seems like there is a ton of gas that is somehow being blocked. I have had regular bowel movements like I said before, but I have not passed much gas over the last few days. I am also worrying that perhaps I have left a tampon in and it has gotten stuck (I have done it before, oops) as it feels at times that the pressure could also be in my uterus. What does this sound like? Has anyone had a similar issue? I am a bit of a worry-wart and am starting to worry it is something more serious than gas. Also, I am a broke college student and I do not have health insurance. I am hoping to avoid a trip to the doc. Thanks so much!

I think you need to get on a water soluble fiber therapy to help you have regular BMs w/o straining.
And it is normal to pass gas--daily. Don't try and hold it in.
