I have inflamed nerve in my arm. I have to watch what I do - the wrong move and it hurts so much. Even the wrong turn in bed or if I sleep a certain way, it is excruciating the next day.
A doctor suggested that I get a needle to lower the inflammation but another one suggested against it. What do I do now?
Thanks

just what has your doc told you about why this nerve is actually inflammed in the first place?what types of real testing have you had done?if you don't know where the real pain generator is stemming from, this is really what you need to find out first just to make the best possible choices for your overall health.
the thing about inflammed nerves is that they generally have a 'base' a place where the actual cause of that inflammation starts.this could be a c spine problem or an entrapment problem within a joint along the way.but this is stemming from somewhere or that nerve wouldn't be inflammed like it is.finding out what that source is would be your first priority here before any needles get stuck into you.just where is he planning on sticking that needle into?there are many different types of actual injections that are used for pain management or diagnostic reasons.you need to really be told exactly what the source of your inflammation actually is and what type of actual injection he wants to do and where he plans on doing it.you just need info here.your doc owes you that much.get your own copies of all your medical records, this would be a really good place to find all of the best info, along with any real testing reports that have been generated on this nerve.but just speaking with your doc about this whole inflammation thing would really help you the most.there is just a reason why that nerve is inflammed and there also is that base where it is being affected.these are things you just need to know about.please let me know what you have been told so far.marcia
