sounds like a lymph node.
i have two there under my chin. painful at times. i think mine are swollen due to my nighttime acid reflux.

if this is actually right in the front, on your face/chin and not under it,this wouldn;t be a node.it could just be some srt of boil under there?is it red at all like some level of inflammation is going on or can you not actually "see' it just by looking at your chin?some boils tho can be very deep and cannot really be seen since the level of inflammtion has not yet reached its peak?if you apply heat compresses to the area,it would bring it up much quicker and would eventually drain once it has worked thru its 'stages'.boils can hurt like a witch, espescially when they are pressed.if this doesn't sound at all like i just explained then i would most defintiely go have this looked at by your doc to at least get it noted and his opinion on it.anytime you feel a "lump" under your skinn an don't really know just what it is or where it came from its just always best to at least have it looked at by your doc.hope this goes away for you soon.please keep us posted as to what you find out,K?
