I had a breast lift and augmentation 1 month, 10 days ago (November 27, 2007). I am very happy so far, BUT they are not as perky as I expected or wanted. The doctor and nurses tell me that they will "settle" and that it usually takes about three months. After they settle, they will sink down and push the nipple up, if that makes sense. I haven't seen any sign of this, so I'm getting worried. Has anyone else been told that? Did they "settle" and get perkier? Thanks.

I had a ba last may, but I didn't need a lift. At first they were high and I wore a band across the top of them, around my chest, this helped alot. At first it was hard to wear and then I got used to it. Anyway it helped alot and they settled and look very normal, you should be very happy with them in a couple of months. give it time

I had a lift and augmentation on October 30th and my breasts were riding high and my nipples were up there in the middle of my breast instead of toward the bottom. Since then they have "settled" but are still perky. I can pass the pencil test (if you put a pencil under your boob and it falls, supposedly you are perky enough not to have to wear a bra!).

If anything once they settle I would assume they would get less perky but maybe it depends on the placement of the implant (under vs. above the muscle), the type of implant (saline or silicone) and where the incision is.

I have silicone implants placed submuscular with a periaerolar (around then nipple) incision for the implant and for the lift and I have a verticial incision from the nipple to the "bottom" of the breast.

I love my breasts. The doctor did a great job and I am very happy.

I hope it works out for you.

Treelover.

It takes time for them to settle. Some people don't see the final result for 6 months. I think with me it was like 3 or 4 months.
