New here and need some direction/advise. Is anyone familiar or know of intercranial hypertension being caused by over abundance of veins in the neck/cranial area associated w/hydro? Can an abundance of veins in the brain cause disease to where the veins will clog/break or cause bleeding leading to a possible stroke?
Need to know for my 6 yr old grandson.
Tks heaps

Hi Flo- There are so many variables with intracranial hypertension caused by hydrocephalus that it would be impossible to attempt to predict anything for your grandson without being a doctor and knowing his case.
However, here is a link to Medline...a great website for a wealth of medical info (approved by moderators to post).
I'm linking you to the Hydro page which will lead you, I hope, to some answers and other links to resources etc.
http://search.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/query?FUNCTION=search&PARAMETER=hydrocephalus&DISAMBIGUATION=true&SERVER1=server1&SERVER2=server2&START=0&END=25&MAX=500&ASPECT=0
Good luck,
zuzu xx
