I would go to the doctor who takes care of your degenerative low back and neck discs problem. This sounds like you may have irritated your sciatic nerve--but check with your doctor first.

Your symptoms are a perfect match for sciatica (or pressure on the sciatic nerve). This nerve runs from your lower back through the buttocks and down the back of the leg. When the nerve gets pinched it causes dull pain inthe back/hip/buttock area as well as tingling. If left untreated it can lead to permanent damage, so don't play around with this. I had it for several years. Chiropractic helps, physical therapy also helps. There are home exercises which help a lot with sciatica, namely bridges, crossover stretch of glutes, stomach crunches. It can take a year or more to get it under control, but the exercises should provide relief within a few days.
