For the last 8/10 years I've had some transient symptoms that I think may or may not be MS. I'm probably more sensitive since my mother had MS and there is a small genetic link.
Last weekend, I did not sleep all night because of a sensation in my upper back that I can best describe as tingling...kind of like when someone squeezes your neck and you get goose bumps. I kept feeling the need to hunch my shoulders and was finally able to sleep for two hours in a chair. The sensation continued for another 24 hours (seemed worse when I was laying down). I haven't been able to find anything online about anything similar other than maybe paresthesia.
Also, in the past, I have intentional tremors (that have come and gone), a pain in my right rib that feels like a gas pain that sounds like the "MS hug" and a right facial flushing (turns beat read on my right side, the same side as the rib pain and flaming hot...much like when you have a glass of wine but only on one side).
A couple of years ago I had brought up some of these symptoms to my GP but he wrote it off as anxiety and gave me an EMG to appease me.
Was wondering if anyone who has been diagnose has any either the spine tingling or face flush symptoms? Also, can an EMG rule out MS?
Thanks.

My face often feels flush due to MS short circuiting my facial muscles. I no longer notice, but my doctor can when she see me. Instead of your GP, if you have concerns and wish to settle them, then please make an appointment with a neurologist specializing in MS.

Thanks for the reply.
I'm apprehensive about going to neurologist. I've read so many of these posts that say they've run across dismissive neur's.
The facial flushing isn't concerning me as much as the really strange back sensation. I haven't seen anything that resembles what I went through a couple of weeks ago.
