I've been having horrible stomach pains right above my belly button and under my rib cage. Sometimes the pain radiates to the left or right. I've been getting them for roughly 5 months. Sometimes I have a few days where I'm not feeling any pain, but then it's right back worse than before. I've had an ultrasound of my gallbladder and liver, and endless blood work. Antacids have not helped. I had an upper GI scope done in 2005 for something else that didn't show anything. My question is..does it sound like something that could be slowly killing me that my doctor hasn't thought to check for? What other things cause this type of stomach pain? I just feel like I'm going in circles and the doctors think I'm crazy. I'm only 23 years old. I used to have a drinking problem a few years ago. I haven't touched alcohol or any type of medication like tylenol or anything since. I'm too afraid to take anything because of my stomach.
