When I take naps, its almost always makes me feel worse throughout the day. If I seem to stick it out through the rough patch, I may get a a better evening etc... Anyone else get this??
I am wondering if Napping actually messes up your healing process..

Napping can make me feel worse too....I just rest, close my eyes...try not to fall asleep.

My doctor wants me to atleast lay and rest for an hour everyday {like they would let me do that at work}. If I lay down and sleep I have to sleep 4-5 hours because a 20 minutes "nap" makes me feel horrible. You are not alone for certain. So on weekends I usually sleep which is bad because I am now missing most of my life. But I have to so I can work all week.

I loooooove naps, but its hard to find the right amount of time that actually refreshes you, rather than just leaving your groggy.

I'm constantly tired, and I too feel a million times worse after a nap. I feel completly out of it, dizzy and almost hungover. Very annoying!

I've always had this. If I take a nap, it's 2 hours minimum and it takes me the rest of the day/night to get over it, lol. Everyone tells me to take naps no longer than 30 minutes cause you skip the hangover feeling but I just can't seem to do it. So I try to either avoid em or take naps when I know I don't have anything else going on for the rest of the day.

Alex...how are you doing on the meds?
hey charlotte :) i see things are going well with the nori your way as far as no big side effects. well, i think i'm on about week 6 of it at the full 30mg per day that he had me work up to. at this point, my headaches are pretty much non-existant....however, NO change whatsoever with any of my constant visual symptoms!!! it just would be logical that if no headache= no more jumpy vision......but not at this point. i had a really great day this past sunday, my visual symptoms were very mild for once. i was thinking...hmm, maybe i am getting better and was all excited. well, woke up monday with a slap in the face with my visual symptoms ramped back up to normal.
anyway, that's where i'm at right now. gonna keep taking them til i see the specialist for my follow up on feb 11. so another month of it anyway. as far as side effects, have you had any? i seem to be having some trouble with constipation with this stuff...eww, i know, but i just hate it. other than that, i really don't seem tired or weird on it.
hope it is going great for you:angel:

Alex...well I was told symptoms peel off like bits of old wallpaper...That you lose 1 symptoms (for me it was nausea)...then goes another symptoms...and so on. I am on 10 mg right now..and my eyes are still off, just milder. Yesterday however, I had a anxious moment...got really lightheaded, and almost passed out. This has never happened before. So I believe things are changing for me.
As for eye symptoms, I can understand your frustration. I wish mine were gone too. I was a bit upset with what happened yesterday...but then I remembered that this med gives dry mouth...and I had barely drank anything yesterday...so I could be dehydrated...
Can you bump the med up any?
All the best to you.

wow....hope you're doing better today. i am glad to hear that your nausea is gone---that is horrible stuff. well, then i guess i will stick it out a bit longer anyway, if it's supposed to work in that fashion...my doc didn't really tell me much, other than it may take a while to see any real result. i have gotten a little lightheaded on this med too though, it's like i feel a rush to my head for a second and my heartbeat seems to jump to my throat or something...but nothing too bad. yeah, you probably needed some serious water, i have to drink a ton nowdays lol.
not sure if i can bump up the med at all, just waiting for the follow up to see what he wants to do with me :D
hang in there--sounds like it is helping you--
i'llhave to harass you soon about how it's working on you :)

Dont get me wrong.. The actual Nap is great.. Ilove it, it atleast gets me away from feeling dizzy for the moment.. But the after effect can be hard on me.
I know everyone here has the issue of Naps making the current day even more stressful to deal with.. But what about long term affects. Is it possible that napping would interfere with compensation...
