I have abnormal heartbeats,i've been having them for awhile,i wore a holter and it showed abnormal heartbeats, doctor just said it was anxiety, didnt go any further into looking,i notice my heart rate goes up for no reason at all sometimes, sometimes its certain foods, sometimes it is nothing.a few months ago i was in the emergencie room because of something they did a chest xray i think and ekg.they said it all looked fine.
what should i do?
i have a hypocondriate probelm and i think all sorts of bad crap is going on...i wish they had something to control this problem with me worrying all the time.
should i go to a cardiologist and get a echohargram or whatever its called done?

I also have had abnormal heartbeats for years and never thought anything about it. But when I went in for my gallbladder, they acted like it was a HUGE deal. They ran a ton of tests and heard a heart murmur, they found I had mitral valve prolapse. So they put me on a beta blocker, Lopressor, 50 mgs. 2x aday and it helped a lot. I'm very laid back now. Anyway, it's better than everyone freaking out over me! I would go along with whatever tests your doctor orders and prove that you're fine. Good luck to you--hang tough, my friend!
