Hi there,

I have been treated for GERD for the past 10 years with Prevacid. Recently I have been trying to cut back on my daily dosage and have gone to every other day. I have noticed some new symptoms that I'm trying to decide if they could be related to my GERD. I am have sharp chest, shoulder and upper back pains. Some up into my neck area as well. Some shortness of breath at times too. It's very uncomfortable and scarry. I have recently begun take an anti cholesterol drug which I was told can double my acid reflux problem. Can these new problems be associated to GERD? I am worried.

Thank you,

lil'miss

Could be I get that all the time. Still best to get it checked to rule out other more sinister things.
