Canna,

I have been using Prilosec for years, and just this past year I have been experiencing extreme stomach boating. I've had tests, seen gastro doc who suggested using digestive enzymes, but these didn't help either. I have no other symptoms, I am not constipated, nor do I have pain. Does anyone have any idea what it is?

I tried digestive enzymes, they made everything liquify in my stomach , it was really weird I did not like the feeling and I still had reflux. I am BACK on Nexium, I tried GHL also and probiotics - did not work for me.

I also tried digestive enzymes and dgl AND probiotics. Didnt work for me...however I really dont know how long you are supposed to give them to work. I just know that the pain is too much to deal with for more than a week so I always end up back on nexium. I feel like an addict...not joking. I say try it anyway...you never know...everyone is different!!

Jade I gave them 2 months, and then gave in to Nexium and now am finally feeling a bit better:)
The digestive enzymes were horrible, and actually made me throw up really easily.
I still have that darn choking problem though-

Jade,
thanks for the warning about how addictive Nexium can be. My doctor says pretty much the same thing (not is so many words) by saying I'll get worse if I stop taking it.

Thank you all for you info on digestive enzymes.. the main census is that they don't work and I assume if they did not as many would be on nexium. The joys of medications!
