My son is almost 4 years old, and has been in full time therapy for a year. In September he began the school program and goes 4 1/2 days a week. The last few months have been tough because he keeps getting sick. Shortly before the Christmas holiday he had a cold for about 2 weeks...then over the Christmas holiday he was extremely ill with a stomach flu...he got over that and has been back to school for 3 days and woke up this morning with another cold. Does anyone know if children with autism are more prone to sickness? Are there any steps to take? I have 2 other children who do not have autism and have not been sick in ages. That's why I wonder if children with autism have weakened immune systems...Thanks
