I have read about people who are with MS and the passing of stones .. i have no clue on this, except that yesterday i was blocked, a usual, but something jagged and hard came popping out hit the toilet like an asteroid and then about a cup of fluidy gunk came out ..

I was in pain, and since i have continual and chronic pain, my mom says i probably passed a stone ?

what can i expect or should i do. i see my physician on he 23rd , should i go sooner, should i ask for an ultra-sound ..

it difficult enough trying to tell what is causing what now ... and i feel lost .. going on 7 yrs. and i am lost ..

The only stones I pass are on the gravel road. Urinary tract infections, kidney problems, or gall bladders could be of concern. You might wish to make an appointment with a doctor in that area. I have never experienced nor have I heard that MSwas equated with the passing of stones.

cyprian, it sounds like gallbladder or kidneys may be involved here. I would call the PCP's office and let them know what's going on and ask if it's okay to wait until the 23rd. (This is not a "normal MS" thing).

I have great experience with this dealing with patients with MS. I promise you if you drink 8 glasses of water everyday you will not have that problem again. You have to be faithful to drinking water and IT WILL NOT happen again. It's a problem with MS patients and they can easily get stones etc.

hi, welcome ... i not only drink eight glasses of water a day , i drink about 10 16 ounce bottles of water a day when my internist said i was not getting enough water in my kidneys .. water is about all i drink, and salad and vegies are about all i eat ...i only eat organic chicken and beef .. sometimes a bit of lamb to change things up ..

i am happy you added this not though, it is true water is essential to our entirs body as we are mostly composed of water .. my friends used to laugh at me cause all i drink is water, when they come to my home, there is at least a 24 pk. of spring water , fruit salad (as fresh as i can get w/out preservatives, and salad stuffs .. she opened the freezer and steaks, salmon, chicken, and frozen veggies ..

not only is it beneficial but it is great to lose weight .. thanks "newbie" acneruinslives ... are you an MSer or visitor ? i like to ask questions , know someone with ms ? it is awfully kind of you to visit and read some of the posts here .. as we are al human's trying to survive this madness called MS .. lol .. we need others to share with us also, so please feel free to stick around and add to our potpourri of posters .... cyp1
