Hi Everybody,

I am 30 yrs old. For the past month I wake up around 5 am and vomit. The pit of my stomach wakes me up and I go to the toilet and vomit. Then I lay back down about 1 hour later I take my medicine and usually about an hour after that I have SEVERE DIAHREAH. This diahreah lasts usually all morning long. I don't feel physically sick (no headache, fever, chills, or flu like symptoms).

I have been to the DR'S office a few times: this is what they have performed on me. Colonospy, ultra-sound, Biopsy of my colon, and blood and stool samples. Everything came back NEGATIVE. Which is good Thank God!! The DR'S have said that I may have had the Neuro-virus but that only lasts 2 weeks maximum, now they say its ANXIETY.

So right now I am asking my fellow peers to help me. Does anyone else have these symptoms? Or has anyone experienced these symptoms? How long do they usually last.

Oh I will add that I am on medication for anxiety that usually makes me feel better. My anxiety is out of control. But I'm just looking for other's to respond to this post. Thank you very much

It may be anxiety--I don't have those exact symptoms, however, I tend to wake up often during the night feeling as though I MAY vomit. I never do but you may simply have more acute symptoms.

I've realized that the problem with anxiety is that EVERYONE feels a multitude of their own special symptoms so it's hard to find someone who can completely understand your malaise.

Obviously, you know that's not normal.
Have you examined your diet?
Do you eat something unsettling, before bedtime?

If it is anxiety, then you probably need to "up" your dosage of what your on, or try something different.
There's also lots of "tummy soothing" med's out there to try.

Are you going through a particularly anxious time in your life? That can throw everything off, until you feel more under control.

I'd make sure your doctors are aware of this. Something's awry.
The best of luck to you.

p.s. I just reread your post & saw on another post that you're on klonopin. I take generic klonopin (clonazepam) .5 mg. as needed. Usually a half 2X's a day. My problems subsided when I added a mild antidepressant to the mix. I'm on Celexa 10 mg. daily. I was having a hard time with anxiety, too, and the combo seems to be working better than just the benzo, itself. You have to experiment a bit with anti-depressants. But, they do work. ---just thought I'd add that & hope it helps.

Thank you all for posting. Yes I am on Lexapro 20mg 1x per day. And I'm not on klonopin anymore, but I'm on Ativan 3x per day 1mg. So thank you for all your advice. YES i have been to about 5 doctors over the past month. I've been for a colonospy, biopsy, and ultra-sound. They all came back NEGATIVE. My blood and urine is also NEGATIVE. The DR's say it is severe anxiety and i'm going to talk to him about upping my medicantion.

I've had to throw up and had the runs with anxiety. It only happens when I'm having severe anxiety, it which case, I usually cannot eat either. But I've never thrown up on a daily basis and would be concerned. Sounds like you've had every test you need to rule out physical problems. Our minds can do horrible things to our bodies, can't they? Have you been on the Lexapro a long time. I just came off of it after 2 months and noticed my stomach is feeling a lot better than it was. I'm now on a low doze of Zoloft, have been for a week, and am feeling better over all. I think the Lexapro did not agree with me.

I hope you find something that helps. I know how hard it is trying to function when you are having stomach issues.
Best wishes,
JB

I just want to add that mabe drinking some fresh ginget tea before bed might sooth your stomach in the mean time and its easy to make. Just add a quater size slice of fresh ginger to hot water and let it sit 2-3 minutes and add a little honey. Trust me it will help with the stomach at least until you get your meds right. good luck!
