How is this diagnosed, what tests are given. I have an elderly friend who has been having frequent bouts of diahrea for a week at a time, then it goes away for months and comes back. She is heading to the doctor's but I was just wondering if anyone knoew what's involved in making a diagnosis? Thanks for your help.
