my husband has bipolar and is in the mania stage right now, how long does this usually last?

Cycles are different for different people. Some can be manic for days, some for hours. Best to discuss this with your hubby's pdoc...or keep a diary that chronicles the phases, that way you will see a pattern and can work with it. Good luck...

It is difficult to say when the manic phase will stop as everyone is different. There are certain drugs that can make this phase less distructive and scarey. You and your partner need to speak to a Dr - do you have a good psychiatrist?
