Hi there, I'm new here, so hello from sunny and rainy NSW Australia.
I have Bipolar and have been through some pretty rough patches lately. I'm on Lithium, Tegretol and Risperdal.
I really enjoy riding my bike and have recently got back on it. My body doesn't like rests so it seems and I am finding I am feeling a lot weaker, which I suspect is the Risperdal. I seem to be sensitive to the risperdal, but I'm only on 1mg/day. Does anyone else seem to find it hard to exercise because of side effects of medication? Thanks

Hi rider. Yes I do feel like it is hard for me to exercise sometimes. I don't know whether or not this is because of a medication or not. I do think that they make me feel very lazy and give me concentration problems. Yet at the same time I feel so antsy. I usually can force myself to exercise though. I do feel better afterwards.

Yeah, I know it's hard to exercise. I get my husband to throw me out when he gets home, that way when he asks me if I going for a ride I don't feel mad, because I told him to kick me out. Really helps me. Had a positive ride yesterday and was able to go faster and the weakness not as bad. My aim is to go as fast so the flies won't hang around my face. Thanks for your thoughts
