hi im 48,and periods are every 23 days for last couple of years, i find i get very hot when on my period ,it comes out of the blue ,i dont feel the heat rise it comes out of the blue, the worst part for me is hot feet in bed i feel around the bed for cold spots then hang them out to try and cool them down, i also have night sweats,once my period ends im fine,i also have fibroids shirley:)

Yes it's a flush and it's normal to still have a period and have hot flashes and definitely night sweats.

:)Hi to all,just a quick question really,i'm due a period on the 20th of Jan(6adays) for the last 5 days i have felt great no problems at all,woke up this morning feeling good again but really hot,my hands,feet and upper body,just before morning toast(never have breakfast,toast at around 10.30 - 11.00)i felt a really warm sensation in my legs then it traveld to my stomach,arms then neck then stopped,at the same time i felt really sick,is this a flush or did i just need something to eat,shortly after snack it went away,i still feel warm though not as bad as before this hapend.

When I first got flushes/flashes, it started just like yours and I freaked because I thought something was majorily wrong with me until my gyne put that all into prospective.

Thanks ainfante,you have put my mind at rest,i have had so many weird things happen to me over the last 3 years i thought i was either going mad or i was going to die,who would have thought that the menopause could make anyone feel this way.
