I am taking 5mg of Altace and want to try to get off of it by using other means. I started taking Hawthorn (with the Doctor's approval) but I noticed my BP seems to have increased a bit. I've been on it only a couple of days. This AM when I woke up my reading was 171/82 and after 5 mins it dropped to 139/85. Has anyone had any experience with using Hawthorn while on meds or had any side-effects?
