My baby is 4 months old now. Even from her early days after birth, she is having too much of gas. We took her abdominal xray when she was 34 days old. it showed too much of gas.also she spits a lot. i was having too much milk soon after delivery. i have read in books that having too much of milk is also a prob for the baby coz in the foremilk, lactose is more and it gets easily digested causing gas and baby is not able to have hind milk which has more fat content. Also, when we gave her a formula milk S 26 Gold, she had rashes all over her body. e then tried Nan 1 Hypo allergenic which caused indigestion. Then we tried Novalac Anti Regurgitation which also caused rashes. Then doctor said that everything is because of lactose intolerance.

She is having too much gas and sometimes she cries and passes
gas. She is now having Nursoy which is a soy based formula along with breast milk.

Pls advise whether she really has got lactose intolerance or is this because of GERD or Colic?

By nature, i am also having lot of gastritis.

I honestly would ask them about reflux. DS is on a hypo-allergenic formula, Nutramigen, and it is also lactose free. So, if she was on the hypo-allergenic and STILL having issues, I don't see how it could be a lactose problem.
I would definitely explore the possibility of reflux/GERD more as, formula alone doesn't always fix the problem. DS is on Zantac (ranitidine) 1.7mL 2x a day and thickened feeds. And, his symptoms are pretty well in check, unless we miss a dose of medicine or don't thicken his formula for some reason.
