I had an angiogram a few months back and they found nothing wrong with my heart function wise but they did find 3 seperate narrowings of about 30 percent each. I still can't get over my fear of this. 3 of them , that really is scary for me. I am only 43 years old and the doctor told me they don't even think about a stent until its around 70 percent narrowed. He also told me I should be glad I know as millions of people are walking around with the same issues and don't know it and won't currently be on the statins I am on or on aspirin therapy and Beta Blockers etc. For some reason this does not make me feel any better. What can I do to prolong the need for stenting or worse? Also what can I do to prevent some of that plaque from breaking off which is my main worry? How do i prevent inflammation in those narrowed arteries? Am I making too much out of this? My diet has been pretty good ever since for the most part but my depression over this problem sometimes gets the better of me.

Relax. As your doctor said, tons of people have narrowing and don't even know, nor will know it. Just exercise more, you will feel so good and relieve stress!
