Hello all. I hope all is well with you. I have an odd question. My parents' 59th anniversary is this coming Tuesday. (Mom passed away last August 26). Dad said he was going to buy Mom flowers---her urn is in the living room. But, what should I do? Should I make him dinner or something? I'd hate to just have it pass like any other day, but I don't know what to do. It's also the day before my daughter's birthday. He wouldn't want to go out to dinner, of that I'm sure. But there must be something I can do. Any ideas? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thanks! :-)

Making dinner sounds nice.. I know this is going to sound cruelly making light of the situation, and maybe sick, but I was going to say like maybe you can make dinner and bring the urn in so they can be together.. do something so that he will feel like he is with her in the celebration. Maybe you give him a picture you have of them together.. blow it up and frame it. I mean it's the first year without her, so do something special like that. What do you think?
