Will this help me or just drug me out? singer78 01-13-2008, 10:23 PM Hi, I take generic klonopin (.5 mg) one half, when needed. It acts like a "long-acting" xanax, which is a benzodiazepine. I think it's a good drug for anxiety. From what I hear, it's hard to come off of, if you take it for a long period of time, in large amounts. What milligram are you prescribed? I wouldn't be afraid of it. The right drug can be a "life-saver." Good luck. JennaBK25 01-13-2008, 10:59 PM Thank you for your response. I'm on the same mg. My meds just keep changing and my doctor wants to use it for an "experiment." I guess I'm just nervous. What happens when you take it..I mean does it have a harse effect? JennFL 01-14-2008, 11:03 AM I am on it as well .5mg and its saved me along with lexapro 5mg. Dont be afraid it doesnt "drug you out" JennaBK25 01-14-2008, 01:23 PM Thank you, I guess I'm just at the point where I don't want to feel anymore out of it. But I have noticed the Klonopin does work pretty fast to calm you down. Any other tips you have though? I mean I took off from work today, but should I have any other precautions, I mean should I not drive if I take it? deenie 01-14-2008, 01:34 PM .5 mg also. I'm on Buspirone daily but that doesn't seem to be doing anything anymore. I've come to rely on the Klonopin more and it takes the edge off. I haven't noticed any "druggy" feeling at all except I get a little sleepy. I don't think it would affect your driving but ask the pharmacist and it's always good to try a new drug before you try driving or doing anything like that. JennaBK25 01-14-2008, 01:53 PM Thank you. You've been a big help.:) |
