hi, this may be TMI but I have been trying to take multi vitamins just your basic CVS multi vitamin but every time I take it I get painful loose stools. I already take a B-Complex and the multi has all the B's as well could this be from too much vit B? I tried to take it for a week straight and it was the worst week ever, then after not taking them for a while I figured I'd give it another try and it was the same problem? I want to take vitmins to be healty but I can't take this and Im not paying like $15/a bottle at GNC, are there any affordable drug store brands that wont do this to me?

Iron bothers some people's stomachs. You might want an iron-free formula.

lol I don't think its iron Im anemic so I take ferrous sulfate without problems, though prehapse the type of iron in the vitamin is bothering me. Im already on a B-complex,and ferritin sulfate, maybe Im better off with just skipping the multi vitamin, I do want to start taking calcuim and D though. lol its just so many pills

It's tough to get your calcium from a multi. Women need over 1,000 mg per day, and a pill that has that plus other stuff all in one tends to be too big to swallow.

You could try a multi-mineral with D. They make those, and it's good to get some magnesium with your calcium.

Try taking a childrens multi for a little while. Becareful with the iron in your multi, it messes up absorbtion.
