Just wondering if this loud, high pitched buzzing in my ears, that seems to get worse with the junkier I feel, is common to MS. (maybe I am barkink up the wrong tree?) It actually sounds like crickets or locust, I think. In the last couple of years it has shown up and has gone away only a couple of times.
Thanks for your replies!
Happy days with good times to all!

Might just be the insects in your garden;)
Actually, I get that about half the time before a bad spell.
I think of it as a precursor. I know that I have a couple of days to get my things done before I "take a break". When I hear it, it is often at night and usually keeps me awake. It is annoying. Actually my service dog, an English Mastiff, snores so loudly that you would think the ringing/buzzing would not bother me.

As stated previously, I take it as a cue that I will need to take it easy. Once my body is stress free and rested, the noise goes away.

i'm experiencing that, too. Though my doc says they don't think I have MS based on my MS (MRI made them test me for it). Waiting on VEP results on Thursday.

Yup, I've experienced it intermittently for years, long before I knew I had MS. (It does not happen to everybody but yes, it is not uncommon.) Unlike MSJayhawk, mine is no cue or clue For me, it never lasts very long. Just one of those things I sometimes experience for brief moments.

Yep,

I Get It Often, not A Precursor For A Flair To Come.

Many Meds Including Asprin Will Cause Tinitus.

Wish There Was A Miracle Cure For It

Thank you for your replies.
I just am trying to put things together. It seems to me that the tinitus really started for me when I started feeling so bad.

MSJayhawk, you are a funny guy! I think you you'd probably make my tummy flat again from all the laughter if you lived next door!

Well,at least you would have a flat tummy! LOL, I have not experienced any flatness since the ripe old age of ....hmmmm never ;)

I think that we must find humor and seek out the wonders of God's creation. This disease is serious, but we need not be!:angel::angel:

I've had tinnitus since childhood, toddlerhood. I thought it was the way everyone heard things. Then in the eighties, I think, I read or heard something about ringing in the ears and thought darn! That sounds just like me! It's such a normal part of my life that I just don't notice it. When I was on Rebif it went away, and the world sounded so *weird*! Now I'm on copaxzone, and the ringing is back, tho maybe a bit more muted. But it was so strange to hear without it!
